Writing Expierences and Goals

Over the past year, my writing abilites have improved drastically. When I write, I now have confidence and voice to say exactly whats on my mind. The six traits have made a big impact on my writing due to the fact that every time I write an essay or some sort of writing piece, I also refer back to the six traights.

My writing goals this year would be to improve on certain traits that I feel needs to be worked on. I also would like to strive towards getting a 100% on an essay or important project. I plan on reaching these goals by constantly trying to improve my writing and to always keep up with assignments so I have an easier time doing them.

  1. Hi Kaimi,

I am doing this first as a Word document because when I tried to post on your blog it not only did not post but, unlike any of the other blogs, it also erased whatever I had…grrrr…well, I'm keeping the Word doc and will try to post on the blog as well...

Also…I just noticed that you are “Keahipaddle”…I have no way of telling from the nickname, so please sign your blog comments so that I can give you credit for them 

Glad to hear that the 6 traits process has helped your writing get better. For your goals, though, decide on which specific traits you want to work on. “Certain traits that I need to work on” will not be as helpful to reach your goals.

Then, for the pro-con argumentative impromptu…your essay should effective use of transitions and good ideas to support your thesis. What’s needed, however, is more depth of ideas. The two articles targeted more than iPods and addressed the broader concept of technology in the classroom. You would have a stronger essay, if you discussed those, too, rather than limiting yourself to the music and cheating issue.
